General Questions
What types of signs does Cape Coral Signworks make?
We design, fabricate, and install a wide range of custom signage, including channel letters, monument signs, building signs, pylon signs, A-frame signs, vehicle wraps, wayfinding signs, construction site signs, ADA-compliant signs, banners, dimensional letters, and more. If it is a sign, we can build it.
What areas do you serve?
We serve businesses and properties across Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Lee County, and the greater Southwest Florida area. Our team handles design, permitting, fabrication, and installation for clients throughout the region.
Are you a franchise?
No. Cape Coral Signworks is a family-owned, full-service sign company. When you work with us, you work directly with our team — not a corporate call center or a franchise template system.
Pricing and Quotes
How much does a custom sign cost?
Sign pricing varies based on type, size, materials, illumination, installation complexity, and permitting requirements. We provide free, no-obligation quotes tailored to your specific project. Contact us with your details and we will give you a clear, honest estimate.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. All quotes from Cape Coral Signworks are free and come with no obligation. We will assess your project needs and provide a detailed estimate before any work begins.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. Most projects require a deposit before we begin design or fabrication. The deposit amount and payment schedule are outlined in your project proposal.
Design and Process
How does your process work?
Our process follows five steps: Consultation, Design, Permitting, Fabrication, and Installation. You have a dedicated team from start to finish, and we keep you informed at every stage. We do not begin fabrication until you have approved the final design.
Can I see a design before committing?
Yes. We create custom design proofs for your review and approval before we begin fabrication. We include mockups showing how the sign will look on your building or property. Revisions are part of the process — we want you to be completely satisfied before we build.
Do you work with existing brand guidelines?
Absolutely. If you have brand guidelines, logo files, Pantone colors, or font specifications, we design your signage to match. We work with your brand identity — not a generic template.
How long does a sign project take?
Timelines vary by project scope:
- Simple signs (banners, yard signs, A-frames): 3-5 business days
- Standard fabrication (channel letters, panels, dimensional letters): 2-4 weeks
- Complex projects (monument signs, multi-sign packages): 4-8 weeks
- Permitting: 2-6 weeks, depending on jurisdiction
All timelines begin after design approval and deposit.
Permitting and Compliance
Do I need a permit for my sign?
Most permanent commercial signs in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Lee County require a sign permit. Temporary signs such as banners and A-frames may have different requirements. We assess permitting needs during your consultation and handle the entire process on your behalf.
Do you handle the permitting process?
Yes. Cape Coral Signworks handles all sign permit applications, code reviews, and HOA submissions for Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Lee County, and surrounding jurisdictions. We know the local codes, the permitting offices, and the common sticking points — so your permit gets approved efficiently.
What about HOA sign restrictions?
Many communities in Southwest Florida have HOA sign guidelines on top of municipal codes. We review HOA requirements as part of our process and design signage that meets both sets of rules.
Materials and Durability
What materials do you use?
We use commercial-grade materials selected for quality, durability, and performance in Florida's climate. Common materials include aluminum, acrylic, HDU foam, PVC, vinyl, stainless steel hardware, and energy-efficient LED lighting systems.
Will my sign hold up in Florida weather?
Yes. Every sign we build is designed for Southwest Florida's conditions — UV exposure, humidity, salt air, heat, and storms. We use UV-resistant finishes, corrosion-resistant hardware, weatherproof LED systems, and marine-grade materials to ensure your sign lasts.
Installation and Maintenance
Do you install the signs you build?
Yes. Our in-house installation crew handles every sign we fabricate. We do not outsource installation to third parties. Our team has the equipment, experience, and licensing to install signs professionally and to code.
Do you offer sign maintenance and repair?
Yes. We provide ongoing maintenance, cleaning, bulb and LED replacement, electrical repair, panel replacement, and structural repair for signs we have built — as well as signs originally installed by other companies.
